ABOUT THE PROJECT
LOAD5 supports the Romanian team participating in the Solar Decathlon Europe 2014 with this architectural film. Initiated in 2002 by the US DoE, it has become the top solar architecture competition for universities worldwide. This summer, 20 national teams are competing for the best sustainable solar house design in the 3rd European edition of the event. Each team has designed and built a prototype of a smart, energy efficient solar house which is to be transported, assembled and exhibited at La cité du Soleil, at Versailles Palace in France. We at LOAD5 not only share the vision for sustainable future cities, we want this vision to come of age sooner rather than later. In this spirit, LOAD5 commends the efforts and determination of the Romanian team and offers you an architectural film preview of how a smart energy neighborhood in Bucharest could look like.
